Staunton Country Park is a Grade II* registered landscape located on the fringes of the town of Havant. The park has a regency heritage, containing many buildings in disrepair and areas of the park in need of extensive landscaping.
- Conservation repairs and refurbishment of a Grade II listed Victorian Coach House to create a café and visitors centre and stable block converted into public toilets.
- Conservation repairs to Grade II and II* listed 19th century follies.
- Refurbishment and conservation works completed to the Stable Block, Victorian Coach House, Mansion Steps, Follies, Chinese Bridge and Storey Garden Wall.
- Chinese Bridge— Made from European hardwood, with turned finials, curved handrails, crossed halving jointed diagonal timbers and Chinese lettering to entrance posts.
- Follies —The Beacon—Extensive repairs to the structure including new lime coat render, stonework's, new handrail, limecrete screed floor and ornate acanthus finial finished in gold paint.
- Follies—The Shell House— Repointing internal and external walls, structural steel fitted to support new stone crown.
- Repairs completed to external pointing and brickwork, roofing and windows.
- Associated mechanical & electrical installations including upgrading incoming electrical supply, new Lighting, fire alarm and detection system modifications, hot and cold water services, LTHW heating and ventilation works.
- The works were completed in close co-ordination with the Council Countryside Officer, the Project Manager, Landscape Architect and Park Manager.
- Landscaping works were carried out across the park.
- New diamond wire sawn paving installed to the mansion house area to form an outline of the original.
- Building including engraved stone plaques denoting specific rooms that were in the mansion.
- Mansion Terrace—Repointing works and new stone steps fitted, park remained open during the installation so focus was maintained at all times on security and segregation from the public to the works area.
- Outdoor furniture installed across the park including, new wooden and stone benches, litter bins and bollards.
- Storey Gardens—New gates and fencing installed and repointing of the outer walls.
Completed project officially opened in August 2021
